On this week’s Makeup Wars, we’re talking about Spring beauty. As the weather warms, and the bright colors come out to play, I’ve rounded up a few of my spring makeup must-haves:
Katy Perry Royal Revolution: Although deliciously sweet, this fragrance still has the sultry amber notes I love in a fragrance, making it perfect for the Winter-Spring transition.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Palette Volume 3 – Florals: I think the name says it all. With a color palette that resembles a garden, this palette has the perfect mix of brights and everyday neutrals. For an unbeatable gel-powder formula that offers amazing pigmentation, this palette is a perfect pick.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Mattifying Primer: When you have combination or oily skin, warming weather can mean bad things for your t-zone. I swear by this primer – not only to wear under makeup, but as a blotter to touch-up throughout the day too!
Cover | FX Custom Cover Drops: Whether you’re a sun-worshipper, or a self-tan devotee, keeping up with your skin tone can be a challenge in the Spring. I love keeping Custom Cover drops that are a shade or two darker on hand to help tint my everyday foundation so it’s a perfect match every time.
Estée Lauder Flash Illuminator: Get your glow on with an illuminator that you can apply anywhere. The illumination in this formula is so finely milled that it’s unbelievably easy to get a lit-from-within glow. My favorite trick to apply this is actually to put this on under my foundation! I place it where I would typically highlight (tops of my cheek bones, bridge of my nose, etc.), then apply my foundation on top.
